Each type of plant requires a particular microclimate and for this reason we grow them in different greenhouses according to specific needs. The product in the greenhouse is monitored daily in order to guarantee a plant with an excellent vegetative state upon delivery. Production techniques
in a protected environment differ markedly from those typical of the open field as in the greenhouse the environment can be modified to maximize crop productivity. In central and northern Europe the predominant trend is towards total control of the greenhouse environment in order to achieve the potential production of the crop. Consequently, the evolution of greenhouse cultivation took place in parallel with the emergence of advanced technology systems (computerized air conditioning, closed-cycle hydroponics, robotics). The sowings are carried out using technologically advanced machinery, which allows the work process to be carried out with
great precision, giving uniformity to the sowing. Mechanical transplantation is also used for some types of products obtained from robotic machinery.
